The Secrets Of An Unknown Lady

I just finished reading Samantha James’s newest novel, The Secrets Of An Unknown Lady. I had high expectations after enjoying her last novel, The Secret Passion of Simon Blackwell, and Unknown Lady delivered. The hero, Lord Aiden McBride,  has a tortured past (no spoilers here!), and a determination to win the affections of the heroine. Miss Fiona Hawkes has a secret (or two) as well as a seriously creepy secret admirer. I was guessing his (or her!?) identity up until the very end. I hesitate to say more because part of the fun in this beautifully written  novel is the revelation of secret after secret, right up to the end. Of course, watching these two strong-willed and complex characters lower their defenses and fall in love is the very best part of all.    While you’re over at Samantha James’s website reading the excerpt, don’t forget to check out her contest extravaganza, too!
