The incomparable Julia Quinn agreed to help launch a new feature on my blog—The Same Six Questions I Always Ask. Check out her sweet and funny answers and then buy her latest release The Lost Duke Of Wyndham.
1. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
Invisibility.
2. Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
Jane Austen. (Does she count? She created fiction.)
3. What is one of your most romantic moments?
After I sobbed my way through my own wedding, my husband said to me, “You
know I think you are the most beautiful woman in the world, but YOU won’t
like your make-up right now.”
4. Of the places you’ve traveled to, which is your favorite?
I’m hoping it will turn out to be the Amalfi Coast, where I’m spending a
month this summer.
5. What is your most used curse word?
I would never tell.
6. Please take a moment of shameless self-promotion:
Everybody needs to buy The Lost Duke of Wyndham, out on May 27, because my
sister says it’s the second-best book I’ve ever written.
So, JQ fans, which novel is her best?

Ah-hem. I did say it was the second best book, and I am right, right, right. But I won’t ruin it for anyone else by dishing… just yet.
So I’m halfway through with the Lost Duke and I dunno if it’s the best or second best just yet, but I’ve definitely laughed out loud more than a few times.
A month at the Amalfi Coast. I’m so jealous!!!
My favorite book of hers, so far, is “On the Way to the Wedding.” It was the first book I read by her and I couldn’t stop laughing and I couldn’t put it down. Wonderful!
Well, Lost Duke was the best — hands down — for several months. Then I got to read Mr. Cavendish, I Presume…
All I can say is: WOW.
Of course, Cavendish wouldn’t be nearly as rich if not for Lost Duke, but, well, I am not sure I can explain it… But Mr. Cavendish, I Presume is, in my opinion, JQ’s finest. Absolute best.
Only a few months to go.
Well, now, that’s just mean! LOL To tease us with that, knowing we won’t be able to read it ourselves for several months. I was already anxious to get it, but now…*sigh* I guess I’ll just have to reread TLDOW again and again til it does.
