Barbara Pierce, author of “wickedly sexy Regency historicals” answers my same six questions! Check out her answers and then check out her latest novel, Scandalous By Night.
1. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
Time travel. Why read about history when I can live it!
2. Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
That’s a difficult question to answer since my top ten always seems to change from year to year. Three heroes that have never been bumped from my list of favorites are: James Mallory from Johanna Lindsey’s Gentle Rogue, Clayton Holland from Lorraine Heath’s Always to Remember, and Robert Knight, Duke of Hawkscliffe from Gaelen Foley’s The Duke.
3. What is one of your most romantic moments?
Hours before our wedding, my soon-to-be husband insisted that “till death do us part” be replaced with “forever.” It was such a sweet and romantic gesture. However, when my beloved uttered the word “forever” there seemed to be a palpable silence in the church. I figured everyone in attendance was silently placing bets on how long our marriage would really last!
4. Of the places you’ve traveled to, which is your favorite
One of my favorite places to visit is Sanibel Island. It’s a tranquil place to walk the water’s edge and hunt for seashells.
5. What is your most used curse word?
Well, my first thought when I read this question was, “Oh crap, do I really have to answer this one? The phrase usually gets watered-down “oh crud” when the kids are around.
6. Please take a moment of shameless self-promotion:
Thanks, Maya! The fourth installment in the Carlisle series, Scandalous by Night will be available in stores on July 29th. I love creating tales about wicked bad boys. Of the band of rakes known as les sauvages nobles, Lord Everod is considered the most outrageous. To read the excerpt or watch the video trailer, drop by my website at www.barbarapierce.com.
