After reading the first page of my first Elizabeth Boyle novel I was sold. When I finished (I think it was One Night of Passion) I immediately had to go out and get all of her other books. Check out her answers to the Same Six Questions I Always Ask and then pick up her latest release, Tempted By The Night.
1. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
The power to absorb all other superpowers so I wouldn’t have to pick just one. Of course, my nine-year-old superhero expert tells me this power will make me evil.
2. Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
Barney Snaith from The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery.
3. What is one of your most romantic moments?
I went off to England for five weeks not long after I started dating my husband, and halfway though my trip he sent me a mixed tape full of the most incredible love songs. Listening to that tape, I just knew he was the one.
4. Of the places you’ve traveled to, which is your favorite?
Any place beside the ocean. I can never get enough of the sound of waves.
5. What’s your most used curse word?
The one I used before I had kids or the one I use now?
6. Please take a moment of shameless self-promotion:
Speaking of superpowers, my new book, Tempted by the Night involves a ring that grants the wearer one wish and my heroine unwittingly wishes herself invisible. It made writing the love scenes very interesting. Coming in the Spring of 2009, I have back to back books that continue the popular Bachelor Chronicles series. Watch my website for upcoming excerpts, stop by my blog for updates and insider news, and if you live in Portland, Or or Knoxville, TN, I have Events planned in both cities in September. I love meeting readers—they truly are the superheroes of the writing world.
I want to know what songs were on the mix tape and the curse words used before the kids!–Maya

*grin* That’s one smart superhero expert you’ve got there, Elizabeth!
He was completely taken aback that I was not worried about turning completely evil. He sort of looked sideways at me all day. Good to keep the little ones nervous.
