…Lady Jane. She’ll be hosting a salon of romance writers and readers tonight (February 2nd).
Well, Lady Jane doesn’t really exist. She was invented by romance authors Hope Tarr, Leanna Renee Hieber, myself, and blogger Ron Hogan of Beatrice.com. One night, as this foursome became acquainted over drinks, we discussed books, romance, publishing, and other reading series…and the idea for a romance reading series in New York City. Before second thoughts could creep in, we all started organizing the event. And so, Lady Jane’s Salon was born.
Tonight is the big debut, the launch, the young lady’s entrance into the social world…And y’all are invited to join in the fun. The details are here or here or here:
Featuring readings by: Andrea Pickens and Hope Tarr
When: February 2nd, 2009. 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Where: Madame X 94 Houston Street, New York, NY 10012, 212.539.0808
Admission is five dollars or a gently used romance romance novel to benefit my non-profit, Share The Love which provides romance novels to groups that assist women in transition, like homeless or domestic violence shelters, prisons and halfway houses. So far we’ve donated 1,000 happy endings. Here’s to a thousand more!
